I am happy on my own.
I enjoy sleeping soundly on a rainy day. I enjoy going out and eating in restaurants alone. I enjoy taking long showers, doing self-care, and owning my time.
But, sometimes, late at night, I wish I could have someone to tell about my day. I wish I could hold a soothing hand and fit it into mine. I wish I could receive a warm hug, a sweet message, or a quick kiss after a long tiring week.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy with everything I have. I just think it's also nice to share a laugh with someone for silly reasons. To go on a night date and walk home late while sharing the beautiful view of the moon. To call someone just to hear their chaotic stories and their sleepy voice.
Really, I am happy to go on with life alone. But sometimes, I just wonder what it's like to have someone to call my own.
