this might be a controversial take, but I would love to have a social platform where there were no anonymous accounts, to compliment traditional social platforms. I'd use both equally, as there would be positives to each. positives for anonymous: free speech for everyone without having to worry about repercussions. positives for verified only platform: less paid trolls and propaganda, no bots. probably less toxicity.

I was thinking about doing the same thing with World ID. In theory it only proves you are a "unique" human, but still can be anon, so it would require additional requirements for signing up.

Took a second to think about this. A few of my favorite accounts (@lght.eth @0xen @androidsixteen.eth @proxystudio.eth) are anon, but theyโ€™ve built their reputation, which makes it trustworthy to me. Would much prefer a choice of remaining anon for various reasons, but focusing on improving the reputation system instead

LinkedIn seems like a decent proxy for a real-people only platform - itโ€™s entirely propaganda ie marketing and its own unique form of toxicity - genX corporate politics Its the most unpleasant social feed in existence imo

the platform should stay neutral but i wish people paid more attention to who is putting themselves out there and risks reputation and who is an anonymous troll who isnโ€™t worth paying attention to anons are cool but they donโ€™t deserve the same attention in an online fight as someone doxxed

tbqh, I wish there were one-channel clients for just 24/7 IRL cobuilding marathons, where sync & async both show up in a way that would be impossible to fully deepfake. then again, I am stating a preference.
