Despite past theories, EBV isn't the virus tied to ME. It was once thought to link to CFS and ME/CFS after some ME cases showed reactivation. Instead, the main suspects were primarily poliovirus relatives, notably Enterovirus betacoxsackie types. Interestingly, Coronaviruses belong to the same category.
