Our team is fully remote and loving it, in very large part bc of gather.town — I know Base and Neynar are doing this too! It’s so awesome to build with that sense of “spontaneity” of a physical office, but to be able to hire from anywhere in the world!! https://warpcast.com/jessepollak/0x1d2f56e5

I guess this is one of those that you have to experience to understand? I haven’t used it, and I am not sure I get it. What makes it work? Does it more help with giving real time information on who is in the office and hence you can reach out to? How different is it from slack, beyond the visual information laid out on the screen?

It’s awesome. You are on a map with a character like old school Zelda. When you walk past someone who is online, a video convo just pops up. It is like walking into their office. This lets you have a sense of serendipitous meetings… nothing kills your product collabs like having to rigidly schedule zooms!
