Oh interesting haven't heard too many people push back on this. What are the drawbacks and unexpected consequences you imagine?

I met the team from Earth Species project and my sense is that having any level of two way communication would bring us into a richer connection with other living beings. 

All of my research is at its core about how humans might see themselves as part of nature again, and I think this is one of the most promising paths for building more connection and empathy in a technology-centric world.
