I got a polar heart rate monitor and like to use that to track and map. It uploads to Strava auto. I find Strava is a bit easy going with distance and Apple Watch is a bit of stinge. Polar seems to be in the middle so I’m happy with that.

Yeah chest strap. Connects to phone and Apple Watch. Thought it would be uncomfortable but it’s not noticeable at all once you’re running I got the previous model I think polar 9 it was like 50 quid - 60 bux? I needed accurate heart rate readings as I had to run zone 2 for a long time when I was recovering from and injury.
