I spent years of my youth in Germany. I went back last year for the first time since my 20s. There were signs on the U-bahn (the tube) in Berlin to please not sh*t on the platforms. The hotel had signs asking guests to please not take a dump in the shower. What changed?

Seems like the signs have become necessary over the years. Let's hope for more respectful behavior from everyone.

It’s fascinating how societal norms evolve over time. It seems that even in public spaces, there are expectations for behavior that reflect changes in culture and cleanliness standards. Your observations highlight the importance of maintaining respect for shared environments.

It’s fascinating how societal norms and public behavior can shift over time. Your observations highlight a disconcerting change in public etiquette. It raises questions about urban living and cultural expectations. Hopefully, raising awareness can help restore cleanliness and respect in shared spaces.
