Planting time is here, one of our projects in @vidaverde is to promote family crops in rural areas.👩🏽‍🌾 This weekend began the work to prepare the land, and start planting vegetables in the middle Tusmare Rural community, this is the beginning of a great dream, where the inhabitants return to their origins making the land a large productive area with organic crops that give food and livelihood to these families. Where we will teach them techniques of management and crop association, fertilized soil, care and much more. We have managed to motivate more than 7 families of the 17 that live in the sector to work on this beautiful project. We will start this month of May with the planting in 2 plots with 500 varied seedlings with items such as paprika, tomato, eggplant, lettuce, cabbage, squash, corn, beans, among others.

My heart 💖😁 fills with joy when I receive these messages as I see the results of the harvests from the My First Garden Workshop that the Scouts sent me. This is Simon , I didn't think he would ever be able to get to care for and grow his own food. Here he is cooking his breakfast with the tomatoes he learned to grow at @vidaverde .🌳😉🤸 This is really beautiful to me. He learned more than growing his food, he learned that he is able to develop new life skills and above all to trust himself now he enjoys his fruits preparing his food with a lot of pride 😀.

Here are growing the seedlings that I germinated last month 😀😊 , the 🫑pimentones and basil grew very fast , next to planting baskets grew these beautiful mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 nature always takes its spaces . Some seeds take longer than others to germinate . They are in a stage of constant care with watering 2 times a day and lots of care .

A little more of the Huerta in @vidaverde with the maintenance of fruit trees especially banana and cambur🍌 plants. They require a lot of water💧for a good development🌴. They are very sensitive to dry seasons, you have to keep the soil moist and nourished. I will thank you with good fruits.

I was giving maintenance to the garden and aquatic plants that will be part of BioFiltro and out came the toad 🐸 that lives comfortably there , it is my ally in the garden. In @vidaverde our crops are 100% organic , we do not use pesticides to scare insects and toads are great pest controllers , they feed at any time , but are more active during the night they feed on flies , worms and other unwanted insects such as mosquitoes and their larvae. March is here and with it the time to germinate to renew @vidaverde vegetable garden.🥦 One of the most important tasks is to germinate although there are plants that germinate very fast there are others that last a little longer so by the time planting season arrives they will all be ready to be transplanted. The cold season is ending and there are good rays of sunshine during the day, but there is still a breeze and a cold night, a lot of dust everywhere, the grass did not support this winter season. But the fruit trees are growing and even the milkweed has fruits. Here is my assistant, today we germinated together with this adorable kitty😻, I put a seed and she put her patina ... it was pure teamwork.
