My fellow aid workers from a local Ukrainian nonprofit were targeted and hit by a russian drone two days ago. They were evacuating civilians from the frontline in Pokrovsk. While the civilians they evacuated and other volunteers sustained minor injuries, a British volunteer, Edward, who was the driver that day, took the biggest hit from the explosives. One of his arms and a leg were amputated, and he is currently recovering in the ICU. 😓 Unfortunately, I never got to meet Eddy, but we were friends on Instagram, and I followed his work on the frontlines. 50 CAT tourniquets, 7 Cyclone Pocket BVMs for manual resuscitation and emergency respiratory support, and 4 Blizzard survival blankets purchased (total cost ~0.67 ETH) and will be delivered to frontline medics by our volunteers on the ground, along with other medical supplies we are still acquiring (emergency evacuation litters, junctional tourniquets, and more). I’m currently working on a tricky @crystalhearts medical supplies request. My usual Ukrainian vendors, who I consistently work with and who accept crypto, don’t have the supplies I need, so I had to reach out to a bunch of new ones and get them to start accepting crypto. So far, there have been zero issues, everyone is immediately saying yes and setting up wallets 😊🙌⛑️🇺🇦

Medical supplies have been picked up by one of the military units and will be transported to the medics. Since this area of the frontline is extremely dangerous, we cannot send civilian volunteers to deliver the supplies to the medical stabilization points. Therefore, they must be transported by someone in an armored vehicle or via drones ⛑️🙏
