This is nerdy but will remember it always. I went with my parents to a quilt shop and had a blast. I thought my dad would be bored and sitting in the car within minutes. Instead he actually wandering around, asked how their example quilts were made, pointing out funny fabrics, compared machines. Grateful for them.

Got a new Shorty low-shank machine quilting ruler and adjustable free-motion foot; this is a game-changer. Once I get a good feel for the ruler markings, those custom geometric designs will be a breeze!

Happy Monday to all! Yesterday was gorgeous outside. Lots of kayakers and paddleboarding. Perfect weather to chill at the lake or river. Remember your life vests, everyone. Already a few tubing casualties happened in this area.

I immediately realized my ageism when seeing a modern quilt. I want to find a way to motivate myself and others to continue their hobby. Quilting is an artistic outlet that more people should try out.
