One person’s spam can easily be another person’s favorite content on the internet 

The more people join any network, the more this becomes the case. Early on it’s easy to say what is spam and what is not spam, but as the network grows, it’s a lot more murky. Spam is not objective as one would like it to be

I agree completely.
There is a big difference between defining spam as an act and whether it extends to ideology and the content of what is said.
I think that diversity is necessary, even if there is no immediate intersection of different ideas and preferences.
