Do you believe US election might be catalyst for a ceasefire in Ukraine?

And more interestingly, do you believe that ceasefires that only postpone more inevitable bloodshed (which seems to be the case now and was in 2014) are generally a good thing? Or current war of attrition must settle conflict once and for all?
