Such an interesting concept presented by humane. I can imagine this being a nice addon to current wearable ecosystem (phone, watch/ring, earbuds, somewhat glasses), esp if price will drop to 200$ and a fee of 5-10$ for Al stuff. On the other hand, I don't think it|l replace phones anytime soon...

Some may say it's AI features, but Apple & soon Qualcomm have enough powerful chips to do some tasks on the phone-> much faster &reliable. Some may say, phone is usually in the pocket, ai pin is always near you ready to do stuff. And I see how this could be helpful, but not to a degree to replace the phone

On the other hand, conceptually, it looks v similar to smart glasses. Look at latest rayben x meta - you can interact with AI/voice, it has speakers, a camera(potentially recognizing gestures in the future). What glasses lack is a feedback screen to show text/info

At this point I think if ai pin will gain popularity, it'll fight with smart glasses, not phones. Imagine you have a phone to do stuff v fast by typing/gestures and you have meta smart glasses that can do ai stuff and show you notifications/text output. Why would you buy an ai pin? Only one rsn-you hate wearing glasses

Imo insta/tiktok grip is too strong& addictive, look how much time you spend on it sorted by apps, it's certainly not reading some notification &messages. So ppl will continue using the phone, at that point, why should someone add ai pin to their devices? Where it can help?
