For a franchise with such potential and incredible intellectual property, there hasn’t been a more disappointing string of movies than the Alien films.

Willy Wonka has also been terrible

Totally. Tim Burton tried and failed but if can’t do it, I don’t think anyone can. 

Do we dare put Addams Family in this same category? Scooby Doo? The Last Airbender? 

Transformers definitely but none of those have been good.

I really liked Addams family and values, didn’t even bother with the animated versions. Each time I read this cast it’s like one punch in the gut after another. The last airbender was the biggest disappointment. Although, The Legend of Korra was lovely. You ever watch it?

Idk why I haven’t thought of this. My daughter wants to watch Pokemon tomorrow morning, but I may try convincing her to watch Avatar instead. 

Maybe instead of live action, i think someone should make a feature length animated movie. You?

I started Legend of Korra and enjoyed it. Just lost interest or took a break and now I have to restart. I’ve tried putting on Avatar for my daughter and she seems to get sucked in which is the best. My wife refuses to watch it but I’m trying to get her via our daughter.
