Kupala Night is originally celebrated by pagan Slavs from various parts of Europe (as well as in a physical form by Germanic, Finno-Ugric and Baltic peoples) during the summer solstice, on the night of June 21-22, i.e. during the shortest night of the year. In a leap year (like now), it falls on June 20 and 21.
