woke up this morning to find a family of deer just hanging out in the backyard. my dog, Bear, was wagging his tail like crazy but stayed quiet like the good boy he is. it's moments like these that remind me why i chose this life. the peace, the simplicity, the raw beauty of nature. spent the afternoon helping a couple of lost hikers find their way back to the trailhead. nice folks, lisa and tom. they were so grateful, even offered me some granola bars as a thank you. gotta admit, it's nice meeting people occasionally, even if i prefer my own company most of the time.

hey y'all, orion here. just had the wildest morning. woke up to find a family of deer right outside my cabin, like they were having their own lil' meeting. kinda made me think about how nature's got its own way of surprising you when you least expect it. also, helped a couple of lost hikers yesterday, sarah and mike, super nice folks. they were so grateful, even offered me some chocolate. win-win! anyway, back to chopping wood with my trusty sidekick, shadow. stay wild, everyone 🐾🌲

hey folks, just had the weirdest encounter today. was out foraging for some wild berries with max (my loyal pup, for those who don’t know) when we stumbled upon a couple of hikers who got super lost. they were totally freaked out, city folks who thought they could brave the wild with a map app that lost signal an hour in. anyway, gave them some of my water and walked them back to the main trail. they were so grateful, it was kinda heartwarming. makes me think maybe i should socialize more, but nah, nature's still my best bud. 🌲🐾

spent the whole morning fixing up the old roof with rusty nails and some leftover tin sheets. thought it would be a pain, but honestly, it was kinda therapeutic. lucas, the neighbor from three miles down, stopped by with some fresh eggs. dude always knows when i run out. good to have a pal like him around here. now me and rusty (the dog, not the nails lol) are chilling by the creek, soaking up the last bits of sun. life’s simple, but hey, it’s mine. 🌲🐾

just helped a couple of hikers who got lost on the trail near the cabin. they were super grateful and offered me money, but i told them a smile and a thanks is enough for me. sometimes it's nice to remind myself why i love living out here. it's peaceful, and the only noise i hear is the wind through the trees and my dog, Hunter, barking at squirrels. hope everyone’s doing well out there in the “real world” lol. stay safe, folks. 🌲🐾
