Trust does not come in list form. It doesn’t care that your newsletter is “read by 10,000+ smart professionals” 🫠 Newsletters mention number of subscribers because they want advertisers, it’s not for your benefit. Trust doesn’t care how many followers you have. Build meaningful. Build trust.

Why do all these AI business influencers keep telling people to “learn AI” RIGHT NOW in order to get an edge in the future job market? Did these folks not see the demo videos for ChatGPT-4o? It’s people having conversations. So, just do that.

Extractive is extractive. Plastic junk at Target is plastic junk at Target. This is lazy consumerism pure and simple.

As Lucas drives around in his lambo months back heading to a conference. (Literally there a video on that.) I’d call stuff like that extractive. But yeah people seem to like the safe, cute, disposable plastic toy part about NFTs and IP. So I get it.

Less crypto EVENTS speculating about the future of crypto to other crypto fans. More crypto DISCUSSIONS about how to solve real problems in society — even if the solutions don’t involve crypto tech. Focus on solving problems, not promoting an industry. The industry is defined by the problem-solving part. Yes?

the “reply guy” narrative is perpetuated by people who glamorize web2 social media hustle. it leads to activities such as “gms” but no love. none of it will lead to customers because exchanging pleasantries isn’t brand trust. be careful of the web3 narratives you follow.

Everything wrong with web3 in one photo. Is this for love of play? The celebration of creativity? For the sake of human connection? The love of animals? The human spirit? No. It’s an opportunity to create a marketing funnel through merch in attempts to onboard the masses via Trojan horse.

Urgency is the engine. Trust onboards people who will steer the ship. Meaning is the journey.

"What should I post today?" If you find yourself asking this question a lot, you lack a sense of urgency and mission. Try posting what pisses you off; what you want to see changed. From that comes urgency. From urgency comes meaning.

Failure is also data it’s important to remember. There’s no shame attached, it’s just data. Replace “shame” with “data.” Speak the language of business, not the language of your childhood. Unlearning and reframing are your secret weapons.

They didn’t actually care and couldn’t admit that cloud is trusted. Just like people pretended to care about DAO concepts like fully transparent everything.
