Decentralization and censorship-resistant don't mean anything if not enough people want them. They are features, not benefits. They have to pass the most basic "so what" tests for users. So what if it's decentralized? What does that help someone do in their everyday life in ways that make their life markedly better? And why would it be important to them right now? (not in the future, but right now). You have to run the "so what" test on everything and get to the truth.

Great article. Crypto insiders that don’t take women into account while thinking adoption is inevitable are delusional

💡And for crypto insiders it’s the same - constant fears of getting scammed by other insiders.

Psst: this is how the world outside of the crypto industry sees crypto. All the utility in the world doesn’t matter if you don’t understand positioning. Humanize your marketing by understanding people — not technology, industry, or “mass adoption.”

“Consumer crypto” In a crypto space where the majority of builders, leadership, and VCs are men. In a crypto space that doesn’t care about understanding women consumers. But sure thing, let’s talk about how promising consumer crypto is. Trustless, transparent, and decentralized technology doesn’t matter if clueless industry leaders are implementing it.

This is why you should understand the customer instead of promotion of the industry.

Yes, that’s why marketing is best understood as relationship-building just as it is with friends, family, and in IRL communities. Relationships are always changing and the marketers job is to understand why.

The product is irrelevant anyway. You want to be marketing customer problems. The sale comes as a result of understanding the customer’s problem. If you can’t attract by way of the customer problem, you don’t have PMF anyway so the customer won’t bother with your token.

The biggest thing founders in the web3 space need to realize is that it doesn’t matter if it’s “web3” or not. Too many are forcing web3 over PMF. They see a big platform like Telegram doing web3 without understanding that Telegram’s PMF had nothing to do with web3. You can’t manufacture utility in web3. There’s an order to things.
