- a way to stand out 
- founder says it "doesn't feel intrusive"
- investor says "it feels a little creepy"

Interesting growth hack but likely stops working at scale due to spam.

That said, I do think paid DMs/inbox _might_ be primed to work these days a la the OG Earn.com. Would love to see more teams experimenting with "Respond to Earn".

someone should really try to build pay.com. earn.com should be an organic outgrowth of it
