Great convo here around the value of a mint vs minutes listened when it comes to unpacking collectors of onchain media. IMO the sweet spot is combining top of funnel distribution using boosts with deeply engaged core community members sharing in the upside (via Hypersub) with strong social ties and a sense of status and belonging. After going really hard on boosts + quests the last few months I'm realizing that we need to focus a lot more on building our core community - otherwise it's all smoke and mirrors and there's no reason to stick around. Really healthy challenges from @ted on how she's thinking of Club Ted (very tight-knit high density and high retention) vs someone like @levy with Mint Podcast (bigger focus on top of funnel and maximizing distribution).

What I find interesting is the categorizing of nps/bots as non-essential factors. On the surface the common consensus is someone completing a boost or quest is simply an airdrop farmer, not a loyal fan and not someone who brings value to your community. Tons of merit here but I take the opposite side. Building relationships with the people who show up daily to complete these reward campaigns is an opportunity for you to win over a new true fan. For too long in crypto we've relied on *only* selling to true fans - I think its important to realize that just like traditional media, the vast majority of people are just passing by - and your goal as a business, brand or creator is to find your pocket and be able to convert those bystanders into active members of your community.
