So my Fan Tokens go live in 1d - I'm cool with it but interesting that the auction just kinda happens without my consent or knowledge of when it's starting? Also don't fully understand how it works or how to think about the pricing of it. Any good resources on Fan Token auctions and if I should participate? Or what a realistic price/market value for these is?

I'm wondering as well why it seems to be setup automatically for some people (without their explicit consent) and saw others "complain" in a similar vein, @phil for example. You'd need to ask Jason @betashop.eth directly

In short: - you have 411K followers, so 41K FT will be issued (10%) - There's a 72 hrs auction period - People bid with max Moxie price / token and max Moxie amount willing to spend (either from wallet or unvested contract) - Price is dynamically calculated from all bids - Settling price will be determined at the end of auction. If your bids are successful you get an allocation of tokens to claim, if not you get your bid(s) refunded. - You automatically get 5 % of your own fan tokens as rewards

Final price develops automatically from tokens "issued" (which is 10 % of your followers) and bids during the auction stage.

When your fan token launches that's what gonna happens , some people like me bid in your FT , then when we own your FT , cause you are on of the highest far score owners , and all time earners , definitely your FT LP starting growthing up , and it's good ! Cause by each buy&sell of your FT , you earn 2.5 % of all Tradings , then your FT holders also can earn 20% of your whole earning , also it cause of burning the moxie , you see ? This game is win-win-win :) Feel free , I'd be your top holder ;)

You can check in @airstack.eth, every cast you do earns moxie and you can claim it everyday. I think you also got an airdrop just by having channels and vibing here in warpcast (everyone got em) The market value was 0.005 USD = 1 moxie as of the moment I guess. There are others to who doesn't know what is moxie but got their Fan Tokens like dwr and vitalik. It won't deal much to you, you can just claim and sell it or not care at all hehe. I hope this helps! How is everyone ok with letting users buy/sell/speculate on fan tokens without the approval/consent of the profile owner? That crosses a line. Isn’t that what bitclout did? But everyone is ok with it if it’s fc native I guess.
