Historically, the act of passing on an axe was considered a sacred ritual, symbolizing the transfer of important means of production and power to the next generation. The axe held tremendous significance due to its role as a tool of production and as a symbol of power and authority. In modern times, this act is akin to passing on a family business or corporate leadership. The material or physical changes to the axe don’t matter; what matters is the formal acceptance of the axe as a symbol. Therefore, the axe my grandfather passed down to my father and the axe I own today should be seen as having the same status.

When comparing discount terms, 7% off vs. 6.8% off, which is more attractive? Marketing and consumer psychology suggest that the latter is more appealing. But why is the lower discount more attractive?

It's hard to 'define' a concept. What is the definition? I believe it's a process of demarcating the boundaries of some intrinsic property. It's all about demarcating and categorizing those 'boundaries'. If what we thought and talked about as web3 was actually web2, then we didn't have a clear idea of that 'boundary'. And that can happen to anyone. 😅

[The most effective negotiation tactic] According to AI research, is asking more open-ended questions. It helps uncover valuable information about the other party’s needs and constraints, leading to better negotiation outcomes. Negotiators should prepare several "open-ended questions" in advance, transform closed-ended questions into open ones, and balance these inquiries with relationship-building efforts. By incorporating more "why," "what," and "how" questions, negotiators can gather critical insights, foster rapport, and ultimately secure more favorable results. ✔️ In essence, success lies in asking rather than pitching. https://doi.org/10.31234/osf.io/9rh4j

Movies are like alcohol, while books are like water. Movies excite us, but books calm us. Reason is fundamentally cold, so when it comes to the liberal arts, movies can’t keep up with books forever.
