Better yet: how do we get to a point where we don’t even need this?

>99% of human coordination is subjective, which public blockchains cannot parse at all This is why "DAOs" use traditional human governance methods which have nothing to do with blockchains (except for accounting, which is the only objective thing) Ironically, if "DAOs" were autonomous, you wouldn't need "DAOs"

Solving L2 fragmentation with complex atomic interop mechanisms is a cope to deal with the sad reality: we’re much better off if most of these L2s just die. Everyone should just use whichever is the most scalable- and if it has a token, we should just fork it and kill its token.

Also.. you can disclose your private payments to your friends lists, but to force it on all the users is completely insane.

It’s not fair to call shielded pools “mixers”- that’s the language of the oppressor. But ideally yes- and probably best not to offer transparent payments as an option.

Good question, the code to do this already exists. But Twitter is already a trusted party in that use-case, so the use-case doesn’t make sense. If you want the twitter social graph on chain, just merklize it

Are you sure? They provide a “private” option which is pretty popular from my experience

I like /daimo, but i can't use it until it has privacy. Currently it's too dangerous. Using @Payy until that is fixed in /daimo .

No, it uses fraud proofs. There's some interest in switching to a scheme using interactive FRI, but it's not the highest priority

Can we abolish the EU's legislative body? Every year we seem to be fighting a new insanity. Today they are "deciding for us" about chat control. A mass surveillance proposal that will force install a backdoor to automatically scan your messages and share them with authorities: https://www.patrick-breyer.de/en/posts/chat-control/

i thought a rollup was just a chain that uses another chain for consensus and DA? most rollup taxonomists took no issue with the term for the first 3 years of our community using the word

Yesterday, I on-ramped two people to private crypto payments using @Payy. It's not perfect, but it's the best private payments app at the moment. The only way to create a network effect is to circulate crypto- there's no better way to do that than to evangelize the tech in-person. If you see me IRL, ask me for some USDC!
