Farcaster Devs

Very simple spec for a first cut of programmable DCs. Plan is to basically expose a thin layer on top of internal Warpcast APIs. We don't know enough about the final shape of public DC APIs, so will keep it simple to start.

Would you want to receive Paragraph newsletter notifications via Warpcast DC?

I can’t speak for everyone else but my DMs are crowded already. I’d rather see a client build a dedicated feed of what my followers are creating (à la @interface) than spam what is supposed to be a space for private conversations

Personally, no. And if Warpcast/other clients adopt XMTP as I believe they should, I would want this kind of notification to either be in a separate tab or excluded completely from how the client treats XMTP messages.

Not all, but some i would like it on DCs instead in email, maybe a toggle on Paragraph to choose and/or?

If ppl can opt out, it would be nice on occasion. But XMTP is good imo. I already ping ppl via email and discord and then I cast/tweet 😂. Not trying to hijack ppls feed. But if a reader of mine wants that type of notification, 👍🏼

my wc dc's are overloaded with gc's i can't sort and organize. don't add to them pls

it'd just be 1 more option for folks: email, xmtp OR warpcast DC (not AND)

Maybe. Would like to be able to toggle. Ie one letter I prefer to read in email and another ok in DC.

Hmm I would if there were a way to have a dedicated dc feed receiving newsletters I’ve subscribed to (as an alternative to seeing them in email) 

Ie, they’re not appearing in any other dc, just a dedicated paragraph one 

Is that what you’re thinking of?

New post notifications from newsletters I follow only. I like the separate tab idea proposed elsewhere too.
