I wonder what % of YC W23 startups will have to pivot because of GitHub Copilot X and ChatGPT plugins?

Growing conviction that AI will be a sustaining technology vs. disruptive technology. Hugely important, but less likely to create new startup unicorns.

i feel like its gonna disrupt all of VC. half the investment dollars were to pay for engineers that can be replaced with AI sooner or later.

disagree. far from disrupting anything bc beyond taking better meeting notes and maybe helping some with analysis. fund management and investment is a lot more than spending $$$ and decreased spend doesn’t mean the spender is dead

I feel like off shore contractors would’ve been the thing to move the needle vs hiring FTEs over AI.

It will slightly change the way VCs deploy capital and make their investments. However this is something any good VCs would be aware off, staying on top of shifts fundamental to the industry.
