The Clever Fox and the Foolish Crow

Once upon a time, a crow found a piece of delicious cheese and perched on a branch to enjoy it. A sly fox, noticing the cheese, came up with a plan to get it. He approached the crow with flattery, saying, “Oh, what a beautiful bird you are! I’ve heard that your voice is as enchanting as your appearance. Would you sing for me?”

The crow, pleased by the fox’s compliments, began to caw loudly, forgetting the cheese in its beak. As the crow sang, the cheese fell to the ground, and the fox quickly snatched it up.

With the cheese in his mouth, the fox said, “Thank you for the lovely performance. It was as delightful as this cheese!”

The crow, realizing it had been tricked, flew away, feeling embarrassed.

Moral: Flattery can be a trap.
