If you want to “tax” ETH, then Ethereum is seen as engaging in monopolistic practices and politics. But if you develop your own unique ecosystem, Ethereum is perceived as losing its value.

The market is overly FUD-ing Layer 2!

The issues of liquidity fragmentation and poor user experience are problems at the application layer, not the ecosystem layer. This is because when ecosystems multiply without a corresponding increase in user adoption, these issues naturally arise. It’s normal for these issues to come up as user demands evolve, but they are not reasons to kill an ecosystem. Builders should focus on entrepreneurship to solve these problems instead of engaging in verbal battles.
