farcaster should implement subscriptions to accounts you follow

allowing for exclusive subscirber posts (like twitter/X) AND subscriber chats (like friend tech)

subscription is token model that you have to pay monthly, and can trade on open market

could use eip-4885 or eip-5643 style models

only adv if at protocol level is you can take your subs with you regardless of client

yeah good point, assuming the client would have to add the subsribe function and also the ability to read held subscription nfts and provide ux for the features

havent given this much thought other than, there is probably a better web3 way to do what X did on farcaster

But if theyre subscribing through nfts, that comes built-in right? 🤔

So essentially, the client just adds a “Subscribe” button to do the tx for the contract.
