This actually changes my view on Arteta. If Arsenal continues at this rate financially they'll be in a very strong position in the coming years

true, i just hope that we don't then end up with wenger-era mentality. pinching pennies and not going after quality players. 

that's why that rice deal was so important to me, not even just for the player, but for what it symbolised, that this club can spend money on the targets it wants.
