i think it used to be easier to imagine that
and it's a cultural problem that we can't get behind that

i vividly remember being excited about the future when i was a kid. about how things would be different and more cool. 

but no one has that feeling anymore

Did you ever see the show Altered Carbon on Netflix? I am starting to think that the near future might look closer and closer to that.
