Oh finally, actually it is not that hard to do if you are setup for it. But to relinquish the control and give to users they must have run some tests and realised doing this improved retention. I wonder if you can reset the models that shows you ads though …

You basically need to start serving a discovery like feed and rank by trending for example or distant user explicit interest (like set during onboarding). There might be some unlearning techniques too that can be used
