Voting today in NYC kind of red-pilled me. No ID or proof of residency needed, no pic of me in their system, just name+address+signature, all of which plenty of people could find. Millions are victims of identity theft yearly. This is way easier. Should I vote for my brothers?

Faith in a free and fair election is a greater prerequisite than any form of identification. If you donโ€™t have that, not much is going to convince you of an honest outcome.

Trust is earned not given through faith for me. We built the most secure legal system in history we didnโ€™t just believe in the law. Same standard here. I agree we shouldnโ€™t relinquish our faith entirely but this is too game-able

Wtf kind of comment is that? Faith is not something you should expect participants in a system to have. Audibility and robustness is what matters for people to assign greater probability of an honest outcome.
