What’s currently the best free resource to learn to code?

Assume I have no specific goals, I just want to do it for intellectual enrichment.

yep, it's actually a lot better now

i tried a few online coding classes, but none of them were very engaging 

i think chatgpt can get you pretty deep into some interesting coding projects, but you might not know how the code actually works unless you read the explanations
