this morning once again my phone alarm didn’t ring 👿 I was already awake and waited for it to ring—it did go off but with no sound or haptics! this only started happening proximal to the iOS 18 update 🤦🏻‍♀️ many Reddit threads later I found the issue!! here it is in case it’s useful for some reason under sound and haptics the volume bar slid to 0 AND change with buttons was toggled OFF (even tho I’ve never touched this toggle before or knew it existed) it should be ON and volume on, then go back and check all the alarms to make sure they have sound (mine had no sound for any of the alarm sound options!)

it was sad to see the number of redditors who got their lives messed up because of this bug and many other similar alarm bugs 😞 I bought a new alarm clock anyway to not deal with this issue; turning luddite

I don't think so it's the problem of iOS! My Dad's phone is Tecno . This alarm stuff always happens with him, especially when he alarmed like 5:30 6:00 !

what the heck is change with buttons?! mine is showing off right now but i’ve never had alarm probs before. also, i make custom songs to wake up to. currently waking up to “something about us” by daft punk to ease into the day.

i use google home automations that turn on bedroom lights and music. haven't used the default alarm in years because of these issues.

This happens to me alotttt, what I started doing was that I double check and increase the volume way up before sleeping everytime. Apple needs to fix this
