I want to try this chris young technique for extra crispy air fryer fries

1. soak frozen steak fries in warm water for 1 min
2. shake them up in a closed container to form proto-crust
3. microwave for 5 min
4. air fry for 15 min at 400F/204C, shake several times during
5. season with salt and flavorful fat

I did try it

It is worth the extra bit of effort for more crunch

but do remember to shake it or separate the pieces while air-frying or you’ll make a giant fry clump by accident like me 😅

(I’ve also been marinating chuck steak in shio koji overnight to get ribeye like tenderness 🥩)
