There was a shooting right outside my door 😔 police officer got shot and one suspect on the loose. A kid was arrested. My apartment is just 10m from the incident but luckily I wasn’t home. I live in a pretty safe area (working professionals, young families) but now I’m sorta questioning that. Unfortunate that kids can get their hands on guns so young now.

I live in Canada yeah. Gun violence is very low. I haven’t heard gun shots ever in my life.

Welp... It's pretty standard in American big cities. 🥲 I had a panic attack my second to last year teaching after Uvalde; worried I'd be next 🫠 🫨😵💫 I hope you're doing ok and can take it easy tonight 🫂

Deep down I just feel the flaws in my American society are widening 🙃 some things are getting better, but guns 😐 we done fucked up

Completely. We had extremely strict, licensing laws here, esp around conceal and carry licenses which were impossible to get, so basically banned. Gun violence was near zero. But the federal courts struck down the practice, and now its on the rise. Why? Makes zero sense.
