stumbled into a convo with a tiktok “creator” who has made ~$200k so far. says she paid $97 for a “community” to learn how to go from making $10 a day to $1000 a day from tiktok shop. this guy jonny who claims to make $150k a month (yes, month) does his course on wop, “but he doesn’t like to call it a course because it’s a community. it’s not a course.” anyway she is on track to make $44k this month from TikTok shop and upgraded to 1:1 coaching for $4k. the first step is to join the community and watch the video on “how to traffic hack” (yes, for real) and join the discord because that’s where the courses are. “it’s about to go from $97 to $180 so sign up now!!! it really is a family! i was praying to god that i needed a sign and that night i found jonny and my life changed.” have you guys seen the TikTok shop slop? “it’s not a pyramid scheme, i had to google what that meant.” this is much worse than i thought. we (as a society) are cooked lol.

this has been a common theme in the wellness industry since 2016 and it blows my mind how it’s everywhere now the courses on how to launch courses! some are high quality and transformative for people, sure. most of it is the equivalent of digital fast fashion imo
