You know what sucks about working as a photographer in studios that focus on families, weddings, and couples? It's the monotony... You can grow as a photographer, come up with new ideas, buy expensive gear for it—but no one cares. The bosses just want happy clients, and the clients? They say, “We saw this cool photo by that leaning palm tree, we want the exact same thing.” Yeah, that’s the most common request—“We want the same thing.” And when you shoot that palm tree from every possible angle several times a day, it’s hard to come up with something new or exciting for yourself… But you go to that palm tree and do what the clients want. That’s the routine. And honestly, it’s the same in every similar studio, no matter where it is—I’ve checked. 😅 But still, it’s an interesting job! 😊

I never thought a photographer's job could be monotonous

The good thing is that there are a lot of opportunities now and you can change jobs dramatically

Well, yes and no. On the one hand, yes, on the other hand, you run into problems. For example, I often get rejected for work because of my age... I'm 36 years old, and I'm already being rejected because of my age, and it's becoming more and more.

This is the first time I've ever heard of a job being turned down because of age. Probably because I only consider remote work

I'm bad at things that can be done remotely and I really don't like working on a computer, I've always worked with my hands or my head but in the field. I like to physically feel what I'm doing, but a computer doesn't give me that feeling and I don't see the value of that kind of work... I understand, but I still don't see it.

Physical feelings are compensated for by gyms and trips at the company's expense)

This doesn't work for me, if I don't hold in my hands what I'm doing, for me it's the same as if I didn't do anything))

It's different for everyone) I don't like all this office, computer stuff... I like technology, but working, for example, on a smart lathe to make beautiful furniture or something like that - that's what interests me) But not like in some big dull factory where everything is soulless. But in a small production facility where everyone lives and worries about what they do)

It's interesting to learn how people differ in their vision. Where do you work now?

I don't work anywhere right now. I work on the Internet and do crypto, which I don't like at all, but there are no other options for now.
