After several days of bloody protests, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh finally made a compromise on July 21st. It issued a new ruling that significantly reduced the quota of civil servant positions reserved for the descendants of the country's "founding heroes" to 5%, while 93% of the civil servant positions will be open to the general public for selection or recruitment. This outcome was achieved at the cost of 156 student lives!
