I made a point on Spaces today that Farcaster isn’t competing with Twitter, rather it’s a play for your “second” social network. A lot of people spend more time on Twitter, but then go to Discord, Reddit, or Telegram for more focused conversation.

Farcaster feels like what all Discord want to achieve. You can have more focused conversations and get updates from projects/people you respect. You also don't have to battle with bots to find interesting comments
