Why is it that when Donald Trump claims to be a leftist— draining the swamp, helping manufacturing, creating the best healthcare— none of his right-wing supporters believe he’ll betray them? But as soon as Kamala Harris says anything appeasing to the right, leftist supporters believe she’s sold her soul? Can’t Harris use appeasement and subterfuge to win an election and then do something different? Why is that only Donald Trump’s coalition privilege?

Different base, different personality of leaders, different historical stances, different people that you can potentially convince with such stances, different everything. Comparing an apple to an orange (literally the orange man)

Yeah, like I said above, holding Harris to a higher standard than Trump isn't racism or sexism. It's just fucking self-respect and respect for our fellow people. In what world has "expecting better than Trump" ever been something dirty to look down on?? The khive cult would have folks believe that we should uncritically abandon every semblance of human decency (and desire for basic human dignity and justice) just to keep Trump out of office. And they'll happily jump to ad-hominem attacks and fling race/sex cards anytime someone mentions that her platform is anti-worker, anti-palestine, anti-immigrant ("earned path to citizenship" a.k.a. slavery 🤢), anti-renter, and anti-everything but the donor class. That's the type of shallow, unproductive (and qf lazy) rhetoric I'd expect from a republican. Treating actual progressives as if they're reactionaries for demanding that the (ostensibly) progressive candidate actually have a progressive platform is just cringe, low-iq tribalism.
