I've used iPhone for ~10 years but switched to Samsung/Android ~5 years ago. Massive upgrade. I still use Macbook, but on earphones, chargers, keyboard, mouse, monitor, pretty much in everything else Xiaomi wins over every Apple product. https://youtu.be/neIYdLysqlk?si=og4N6w4rQVAO_lzC

Xiaomi products are excellent https://warpcast.com/vinayvasanji.eth/0xbbfda385 Makes sense given all the manufacturing skills and design skills are in China (even if brands like Apple still tout 'Designed in California')

Funny, I used android for 10 years then switched to iPhone. :D I liked android for value and customization, but Apple seems to respect their user's privacy and autonomy much more than Google.

Chinese brands are now competing for the quality bar that western firms used to excel at.

I used two different Xiaomi phones for a couple years or so and they were great on everything, much cheaper for same specs as an equivalent American phone, and with a well designed custom UI, but they both had the same crappy charger ports that slowly failed completely. Started with a short in it and you can still charge your phone if you tape the cord in there at the right angle, then eventually you couldn't even do that. Which sucked because the battery was still ok, but I didn't have the knowhow to put a new port into it.

There are so many great tools out there these days that itβs just foolish to be dogmatic about platforms / makes etc. Use the cheapest option that works well for your needs and bank the extra cash for something that matters.
