An oversimplification but saw a small “imperfection” and figured out how to increase the likelihood I would get an image that is all imperfection. I think that is one of the benefits of a more open ended experimental practice. A shot from today

Thanks. A lot of fails. I get no shot at all two to three times the frequency that I get a shot in this “family”. And the details in this shot occur maybe 5% of the time within this particular glitch. The whole thing relies on a Goldilocks failure of the iPhone’s image processing. I can make that more likely but I cannot do it in a highly reproducible manner.

Degen and Warpcast have been very “protect the whales” since each had early success. So they focused on capping or weeding out people like me to fight bots and spam — so I largely abandoned both platforms. It was all very reactive and heavy handed and I think I that is not unusual when things scale quickly. In the case of Warpcast I think they may have blown their window. But then Lloyd’s of London started as a coffee shop.

Setting a reasonable cap that is tied to the lowest allowances / lowest claims would make a lot of sense. There should be some rational multiple between the two groups. Think of it as a tariff on extractors. But without the small holders the volume of fair transfers won’t grow. IMHO

I do not think it is intentionally an administrative burden thing intended to reduce claims but functionally it definitely would discourage some people. No reason for claims not to be easy. I don’t really understand receiving wrapped degen but that is for another day. They are trying to do something very hard (build a regenerative ecosystem in an extractive environment) and they very much screwed up some things early on (as did Warpcast) which is what pushed me out as a tipper. I am not actively following things but would still like them to succeed. (Repost because typo changed meaning)

Good to know. That is a very strange UX choice but in either case it is trial and error. There is not a visual cue there to tell you to do that. The location you tap for the popup menu is by “description” which is shaded and very much background. I dropped out of degen many months ago but if reducing friction is a goal (which it is to bring new people into the ecosystem) it would be good to clean this up and add more detail to the FAQ and a pinned post in the Warpcast channel.

Deleted this post on degen Thanks to @0xbenj for the assistance. I still don’t understand this. If anyone else has trouble finding the claim tab in a mobile browser it is a hidden pop up menu.
