Here's how anoncast is going to go: It's going to be fun and edgy for a while, and then people are going to realize that it makes slander free, and it will get noisy and useless and then people will unfollow it because it isn't high enough signal. It will be more meaningful to say `anon of ${KNOWN GROU} says:`

on reddit people post constantly with anon usernames like HorseMop294727. eventually something will decide which anon casts are worth attention and highlight them. or maybe it will just spam out and fail but right now that's some expensive shitposting for the average crypto enjoyer.

I think being able to build a pseudonymous identity is valuable in its own right, though! You can't build a pseudonymous identity with pure anoncasts, though. Reveals will be cool, but it's almost like... they'll only be cool as proofs you said something, if everyone tunes out the main feed.

On reddit I don't think most people are building an identity. Most of them are anonymously posting in snark pages, AITA, or asking genuine questions that may be embarassing or taboo. They aren't known reddit influencers. Having a pen name is different than anoncasting/anonposting.
