Excited for Meta Connect next week. Now that phones are top of S-curve (incremental), Meta VR is one of only a handful of hardware devices that are exciting/ bottom of S-curve (others: Musk companies, Steam Deck, Skydio- what else?).

I'm surprised that there hasn't been a must-have Halo level game for Meta VR yet. The devices seem good enough, but game dev seems to be lagging / non-existent? Curious if you have a different take or if there are breakthrough games on the horizon

It’s crazy how negative the general public and tech press are on Zuck. He’s taking a huge bet on the future of computing and that’s awesome.

off topic but looking at Steam Deck bc of this - i wish i could buy the game once and have it on any surface. i’ve bought skyrim 3 times on PC, PS4, and Switch. i’d pay $100+ for the game if it proliferated itself across all platforms

Potential cool wallets out there (Hito, Ryder, Sudo?). Car as platform. Rings as platform. Trackers as platform. Missing piece for it all are the lock-in effects that come from software. “Hey Siri, where’s my keys?” “Hey Siri, send Chris 0.1 ETH.” “Hey Siri, crank the car.”

Non-invasive brain computer interfaces are hardly even on the s curveand arguably an enabling capability within a headset, than a standalone device itself. https://www.technologynetworks.com/informatics/news/first-ever-non-invasive-brain-computer-interface-developed-320941

Electroencephalograms and related nerve measurement technology — I suspect there will come a point where the fusion of measurements of nervous signals and tech along the lines of stable diffusion will realize new creative tools that operate from thought alone.

Yes to Musk companies, they've got a great compounding effect going (flywheel of flywheels!). Now they've cracked automotive mass production (super hard), most other h/w challenges will seem easy to them.

I like Playstation VR, big reason is gaming content is more captivating and is a better onboarding ramp to a "wow" moment for consumers
