how would you say it’s better and easier than credit cards?

I assume you mean in the US. It’s better for the merchants because credit card fees are high. Twice in the U.S. this year I paid less for something because I paid with USDC. Paying less makes it better. But I spend most of my time in Honduras where the banking system is just terrible and it’s better than Hondurans credit cards in so many ways. Than as someone with two homes, there are often things I can’t buy with a U.S. credit card and vice versa. Most recently I can subscribe to Spotify with my U.S. credit card if my IP is Honduras.

yeah, my american privilege is showing. intl banking is much harder and accessing USDC is a boon. i can also see the benefits for merchants, but don't most stores take the hit bc of the convenience driving more sales (or they upcharge for cc use)? not to mention credit card points and rewards. another major concern I have is how easy it is for even knowledgeable crypto people to lose their money to a phishing link / malware / social engineering and how often it happens in the space. it's made me nervous about asking friends to onramp funds (instead I suggest contributing to a project / winning a prize or bounty for funds). any suggestions with the security issue?
