my first job i made $45k living in LA working like an absolute dog
and i was so fucking happy

My first job I made $46K as a research associate at the Institute for Security Technology Studies @ Dartmouth College.  

I had no friends and never left the lab. 

I wasn’t happy with life but I loved doing research.

This makes me curious about the moment you decided to leave and pursue something different.

What was the straw that broke the camel's back, and what did you end up doing next?

I was tired of building things to write papers about it and wanted to build things that people used. Good decision.
