Being negative doesn't play well with this crowd. It helps to read the room a bit. Offer some something constructive instead of throwing stones.

Disagree, Ethereum criticism should be more welcome here, and with it so too should be calling out the VC hypocrisy.

Criticism is fine, I would argue extremely important. It's the tone that I'm trying to point out as an issue. Calling someone a manlet doesn't really backup the claims or explain why Eth "marketing itself as an underdog" is an bad thing. 

Drawing attention to the resources Eth has and how they are being wasted AND pointing to something that should be done instead doesn't feel like a large ask, especially since so many other people on the platform already do this.
