They must have had some trying experiences recently. Dude sounds like he's beyond his limit.

Pretty much nobody likes free speech unless it's them or someone they agree with speaking. 

Rather sad. Oftentimes you can learn the most from people with a different opinion. 

If everyone you talk to agrees with you, you learn nothing new. 

Also, makes for a boring conversation.
