Industrial farming strips the soil of minerals and other life-giving properties People then must take magnesium bisglycinate, trace minerals, and other supplements to make up for the deficiency in meat & produce Feels like the game is “rob you of your birthright, and sell it back to you as a product”

That’s what happens when you optimize around a narrow set of variables. Essentially same thing has happened with the internet, and we all love crypto because it’ll bring back a healthy rainforest

I’d say it’s a bit simplistic to view it this way. Many venture backed companies in crypto, like Solana, that build open and healthy ecosystems. Whereas Reddit/Twitter closed off APIs. Investors also expected a profit

The problem there is how the investors expect a profit, via tokens. The sooner we reject this model, the better for crypto.

During the dot-com bubble there were many IPOs that were BS businesses that did nothing but create exit for investors. But, there were also some that resulted in terrific businesses. My point, profit via the token is not the problem. With compliant good disclosure regimes capital formation using tokens can be a great thing.
