Has anyone ever forced an L2 transaction inclusion via L1? 

I know its theoretically possible, but curious if it happens in practice or if its like fraud proofs which haven't seen usage in prod environments.

I've done many forced inclusion transactions.

As for fault proofs, the fault proof contracts are evaluated all the time, but there's a weird quirk to it – the contract can only be created once per block height being challenged, so you could frontrun the challenger, don't know if it would break anything, but would be fun to find out
